Help and Support

Short answers about how The Shepherds Path works. Still stuck? Write to support@shepherdspath.net and we'll get back to you within a day.

Getting started

How do lessons work?

Each lesson takes about five minutes: read a short passage, meet the people in it, and answer a few questions. Lessons open in order. Finish one to unlock the next, and finish a unit's review to move on. Every verse is from the King James Bible.

What are the three levels?

Kids is for ages 6 to 12. Just starting is for adults new to the Bible. Know my Bible goes deeper, with harder questions and longer passages. Switch any time with the level button at the top of Learn. Your progress is kept for each level.

Streaks, XP and the armor of God

Do one lesson a day to grow your streak. Every right answer earns XP. Streak milestones earn a piece of the armor of God and a streak saver, which covers a day you miss.

Read aloud and sounds

Lessons are read aloud by a real voice, a different one for each level. Tap the speaker in a lesson to hear the last line again. Turn read aloud or sounds off in Progress → Settings. If you hear nothing, try Progress → Sound check.

Family members and kids

Several people on one phone

One account can hold several learners, like profiles. Each has their own name, level, progress and streak. Change who's learning with Progress → Switch learner, or add someone there.

Parent PIN

Set a parent PIN in Progress → Settings. A child's profile then needs the PIN to add a friend or join a group.

Kids and chat

Children can read their group's chat, but can only write once a group leader turns chat on for them. Kids never appear by name on public rankings.

Plans and payment

What's free?

Every account gets the first 10 lessons, a unit review, the free Bible stories and the verse of the day. No card needed.

Individual or Family?

Individual unlocks every lesson for one person: the account's first learner. Family unlocks up to 6 people. They can be learners on your account, or friends and family on their own phones who enter your family code.

The free trial

Each plan starts with 7 days free. You're only charged if you don't cancel before the trial ends. Apple gives one free trial per person, so switching plans doesn't start a new one.

Share a Family plan

Open Progress → Your plan to see your family code. Others enter it in Progress → Plans and family code on their own account.

Change or cancel

In Progress → Your plan, tap Manage subscription, or open iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Moving to a bigger plan starts right away. Moving to a smaller one starts at your next renewal.

New phone or missing plan?

Sign in with the same account, open the plans and tap Restore purchases.

A gift from my church

If your church gave you a code, follow the link they shared, enter the email you use here and the code. Your plan screen will say Church gift. Nothing renews and no card is needed.

Friends, groups and chat

Add a friend

Share your friend code from the Friends tab, or enter someone else's. You'll see each other on the weekly leaderboard and can cheer each other on.

Start or join a group

In the Friends tab, start a group for your church, class or family, or join one with its code. Each group has a weekly XP goal and a group streak that grows when someone learns each day.

Choosing a unit for the group (leaders)

Open the group and tap Choose a unit. Everyone studies the same part of the Bible at their own level: Kids, Just starting and Know my Bible each get their matching unit. The member list shows how far each person has come.

Group chat

Open the Chat tab to talk with your group. Type @ to mention someone, and tap a message to react with an emoji. Links and phone numbers aren't allowed.

Report or block

Tap a message, then Report message or Block. A reported message is hidden for you right away. Unblock people in Progress → Settings → Blocked people.

Reviewing reports (leaders)

When a message is reported, leaders get an alert. Open the group to see Reports to review, then choose Keep, Delete message, or Delete + remove to remove that person from the group.

Managing members (leaders)

Tap a member's name in the group to make them a leader, turn chat on for a child, or remove them.

Account and devices

Signing in

Use Sign in with Apple, or an email and password. Forgot your password? Tap Forgot password and enter the code we email you. It works for 15 minutes; check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive.

Two devices

You can be signed in on 2 devices, but only one can be used at a time. If you see Open on another device, tap Use it here.

Delete your account

Progress → Delete my account removes your account, every learner and all progress permanently. Cancel any App Store subscription separately in iPhone Settings.
