Apollos

Apollos was a gifted preacher from Alexandria who knew the Old Testament well and spoke with fire. But he only knew about John's baptism, so his understanding was not yet complete. He humbly let a tentmaker and his wife teach him, and then he became an even greater help to the churches.

And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.
