Dorcas
Full of good works
Acts 9:36
Dorcas, also called Tabitha, was a disciple in the town of Joppa. She used her needle to make coats and garments for the widows in the church. She was not a preacher or an apostle, but her quiet love showed what a church family looks like. When she died, the widows wept and showed Peter the clothes she had made.
Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.
