Eli

Eli judged Israel and served as priest at Shiloh. He taught Samuel how to answer the LORD, but he did not restrain his own wicked sons. When God's hard word came against his house, Eli did not argue with it. He bowed to it.

And Samuel told him every whit, and hid nothing from him. And he said, It is the LORD: let him do what seemeth him good.
