Ezekiel

Ezekiel was a priest who was carried away to Babylon with the captives of Judah. By the river Chebar "the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God" (Ezekiel 1:1). His people felt their nation was dead and their hope was gone. God gave Ezekiel a vision of a valley of dry bones to show them that He can bring life where there is none.

Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.
