Ezra

Ezra was a priest and a scribe who lived in Babylon in the days of King Artaxerxes of Persia. Years after the first captives returned, Ezra led another group home to Jerusalem. He loved God's law, lived it, and taught it to the people.

For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.
