The Shepherds Path
Jael
Blessed above women in the tent
Judges 5:24
Jael was the wife of Heber the Kenite. When Sisera ran from the battle on foot, he hid in her tent, thinking he was safe there. Jael ended the life of the enemy captain, just as Deborah had said: the LORD would sell Sisera into the hand of a woman. Deborah's song calls her blessed.
Blessed above women shall Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite be, blessed shall she be above women in the tent.
