Jethro

When Moses fled Egypt, he helped the seven daughters of the priest of Midian at a well. Their father welcomed him, and Moses married his daughter Zipporah. For years Moses kept Jethro's sheep in the desert. It was there, far from the palace, that God met him.

Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.
