Mary Magdalene

Jesus had cast seven devils out of Mary Magdalene, and she followed Him from then on. She stood near the cross, watched where He was buried, and came back early on the first day of the week. The risen Lord chose to show Himself first to her.

Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.
