Phinehas

Phinehas was the son of Eleazar and the grandson of Aaron. When Israel fell into idol worship and open sin with the women of Moab, a plague broke out in the camp. Phinehas rose up and executed judgment, and the plague was stayed. God said he was zealous for his God and gave him a covenant of peace.

Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy.
