The Shepherds Path
Reuben
Tried to save Joseph from the pit
Genesis 37:22
Reuben was Joseph's oldest brother. When the other brothers wanted to hurt Joseph, Reuben told them to put him in a pit instead. He planned to come back and take Joseph home.
And Reuben said unto them, Shed no blood, but cast him into this pit that is in the wilderness, and lay no hand upon him; that he might rid him out of their hands, to deliver him to his father again.
